SWE is partnering with Central Texas Discover Engineering and Texas STEM Connections, which is a new matching system to connect STEM volunteers and opportunities in the Austin Area. 2017 UT Austin Introducing a Girl to Engineering
SWE Southwest Texas is seeking volunteers to participate at the 2017 UT Austin Introducing a Girl to Engineering.
Where: UT Austin Campus
When: February 25th, Sat, 10am to 4pm ( Official time to be confirmed)
What: Volunteers will facilitate a hands-on activity to girls ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The activity will highlight science and/or engineering principles
Shorter shifts will be available!

Volunteer opportunities with Caritas of Austin
1. Opportunities for individuals and groups of up to 10 to serve in our Community Kitchen every Monday through Friday from 9am - 1:30pm.
This opportunity involves preparing and serving lunch to approximately 350 people experiencing homelessness and cleaning up the dining room after the lunch service. The day breaks down as follows:
9:00am – 9:15am: Volunteer orientation to the kitchen (mandatory)
9:15am – 11:00am: Meal preparation
11:00am – 12:30pm: Lunch service
12:30pm – 1:30pm: Clean-up
2. The 26th annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot.
Opportunities for individuals and groups. All volunteers will receive a volunteer shirt and a snack or meal depending on your shift time and length. There are numerous opportunities from the 19th - 24th of November.
