Confidence Through Chaos
Tuesday Jun 9, 2020 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Central Time
NXP Women's Leadership Team and Society of Women Engineers -Austin Section present an online event featuring local speaker, business strategist, and certified executive coach Darlene Templeton. Bring your lunch, invite a friend or colleague, and join us for a spirited discussion!
Confidence Through Chaos
“Times they are a changing”! COVID-19 has changed the world for everyone, and a “new normal” is in place! As the lines blur between our personal and professional lives, we can feel out of control. Yet, it’s essential for us to be confident in our online presence.
This workshop is highly interactive, high energy, fun, and fast-paced. Join us to:
- Develop actions and goals to help manage “overwhelm and chaos”
- Learn how to continue building virtual relationships and be a more effective communicator in this new world
- Identify your own leadership strengths and understand how to leverage them during these unique times
- Learn skills that will help you be more confident and comfortable in your own skin
Showing up confidently from your kitchen for a business meeting and maintaining professional relationships entirely online are now essential for personal effectiveness and business survival. No matter what role you play in your organization, leading and supporting your team during this uncertain time requires new effort. Could you use a little help to tackle these challenges in the COVID-19 CHAOS culture?
With Darlene’s business and corporate experience, over 36 years at IBM, she is a master at understanding and navigating challenges, and knows that CONFIDENCE is an essential skill for what we are facing today. During this session, she will share her wisdom on how you can be more effective, your best self and more confident during this chaotic time!

April 16th from Noon to 1:00 PM CT
Are your able to effectively battle distractions during times of crisis and stress? Are you using your thoughts, values and decisions to help you and your team to help gain traction or are you in the center of distractions?
This interactive zoom will address:
- three key things that leaders may get distracted by during a crisis
- how to gain traction rather than getting distracted in these challenging times
- how to implement daily, small, practical steps to sustain that traction
We acknowledge that a crisis like the Covid-19 pandemic is a distraction for a leader. It pulls a leader away from their life focus and towards something else. Whether it’s the breaking news alerts on the evening news, a panicked report from the Stock Market, or the added activities of working in a Stay-At-Home environment, there are plenty of things seeking to pull each of our attention away from the issue at hand.
This session will be an interactive zoom discussion where the participants will be encouraged to internalize what they’re learning by understanding the ideas, having a greater self-awareness related to those ideas, intentionally applying practical application to their lives, and put together small steps into an action plan for a more effective leadership.
